Safari Les 1001 Pattes was born from a deep passion for traveling in Africa, and more specifically for Tanzania, an iconic African safari destination. During our first trips there, discovering Tanzania’s wildlife, vast landscapes, and local culture was an unforgettable experience. This immersion gave birth to our project: to create a safari agency in Tanzania, specializing in tailor-made, authentic, and responsible safaris, designed for travelers seeking meaningful experiences and emotions.

Before organizing safari trips in Tanzania, we traveled the country as passionate explorers, encountering wildlife and local communities firsthand. Omar is much more than a simple guide: he is a French-speaking safari guide in Tanzania, deeply attached to his country, its wildlife, and the sharing of its culture. With many years of on-the-ground experience, he has an intimate knowledge of Tanzanian ecosystems, animal behavior, and the best times to observe wildlife discreetly.
His passion for nature, professionalism, and kindness make him a key member of Safari Les 1001 Pattes. Thanks to his expertise and respectful approach, Omar helps create tailor-made safaris in Tanzania, designed to provide an authentic, safe, and responsible immersion. With him, every journey becomes a unique human experience, filled with encounters, discoveries, and unforgettable memories in the heart of Africa.
A few words from our guide: Omary
My name is Omary Maulid, and I am a father of five.
Born in the city, I grew up in the village of Babati, where I helped my grandfather herd livestock and protect the crops from hippos. When I returned to the city, I tried various small jobs: barber, singer, and illustrator. My teenage years were marked by a difficult relationship with my father, which led me to leave home. I tried my luck in the mines searching for Tanzanite, without success, and later worked in Dar es Salaam under tough conditions.
In 2003, I returned to Arusha to reconcile with my father. In 2004, he financially supported me to attend a tourism school, where I learned French. That same year, I got married, but as our visions of life differed, we eventually divorced. I later remarried and started a family.
I began guiding tourists in 2008, but it wasn’t until 2019 that I could fully work as an independent driver-guide. Passionate about nature and wildlife, I have always dreamed of starting my own business to share my love for the savannah.
Today, that dream has become a reality with Les 1001 Pattes, an adventure I launched with two friends to introduce travelers from around the world to Tanzania.

Des la réservation j ai eu à faire à Stéphanie qui a su gérer mes demandes parfaitement. Elle a su m apporter une aide précieuse .
Quand à notre guide Omar et notre chauffeur … More que dire? Deux personnes adorables drôles et très pros. Omar a su nous trouver des endroits isolés loin du trafic des autres voitures et nous trouver une faune nombreuse et diverse.
Le lodge ds le parc était superbe avec un point de vu à couper le souffle.
Pour résumé nous avons eu la chance de tomber sur les 1001 pattes car grâce à eux tout à été parfait et nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce séjour.
